The Centre for Screen Studies was created in 1998 to foster and facilitate research in screen-related areas, and to serve as a nucleus for developing postgraduate studies as well as attracting visiting scholars and speakers. The Centre honours the tradition of Screen Studies but is also committed to new possibilities for the discipline including cross-disciplinary and practice-related projects.
